Akzent Theatre Informaion.

The Akzent Theater is near the centre of Vienna close to the Schloss Belvedere. It was founded by the Worker's trade union as a place of entertainment for employees and their families. It aimed to promote culture among the working classes. The Theatre Akzent also provides a space for new artists to perform, as well as providing further training courses in technical theatre. The summer programme includes the Vienna Operetta Summer which features young performers performing well known scenes from various operettas.

There are two halls within the building. The lager Main Hall has 455 seats. The smaller hall is the Podium with 420 seats, and used for non-scenical programs. The balcony in the foyer often contains exhibitions of fine arts which are open one hour before the start of the performance.
