Ulu Temburong National Park - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT

View over the forest of the Ulu Temborung National Park. The start of the canopy walkway was reached by boat from Bangar, then we went up 1226 steps through the jungle, then finally up another 150 steps in the scaffold tower to reach the walkway itself. But what a view though. (The lat long co-ords are approximate)

Ulu Temburong National Park is one of the national treasures of Brunei. This region of low lying rain forest is untouched and unspoilt. Visitors arrive by boat and can enjoy miles of tree-top walkways exporing the life of the jungle. Care must be taken as some of the walkways have degraded in places due to attack of ants, fungus and termites.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE

Ulu Temburong is only accessible by boat. From the capital of Bandar Seri Begawan water taxis take about one hour to ply the route to the main town of Bangar in Temburong District.
