This panorama was taken from Pinky Beach, close to the Bathurst Lighthouse which can be seen at the right hand end of the beach. The skies are a dark, brooding purple, the winds were still and people continued to swim and play happily in the sea. The dark vertical areas in the panorama is where rain is falling out to sea.

Pinky Beach is the easternmost beach on Rottnest Island. This panorama also shows the Bathurst Lighthouse. There is another Pinky Beach panorama taken from further back along the beach.

Pinky Beach is about 1km from the main landing jetty of Rottnest Island at Thomson Bay.
