Just to the east (right) of Little Parakeet Bay was a small cove with a dramatic rock formation on either side of the entrance, looking like jagged gates of roughly sculpted limestone.

Little Parakeet Bay is on the northern side of Rottnest Island. Little Parakeet Bay is managed under the Little Parakeet Bay Management Zone, and is designated as a no-boating and no daylight fishing area adjacent to the shoreline. This is unlike Geordie Bay just to the east which, with the large sandy beach, is popular with yachts and boats.

Either by bus or cycle from Thomson Bay, which is about 3km away.
