IMAX at Darling Harbour - Sydney visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'IMAX at Darling Harbour' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from New South Wales.

Panorama taken outside the IMAX cinema complex at the southern end of Darling Harbour, a short walk from the Pyrmont Bridge and the Sydney Conference and Exhibition Center.

Having the world's current largest cinema screen is reason to boast, at over ten times larger than conventional cinema formats and yet retaining crisp high resolution viewing images and surround sound. This cinema doesn't stop at offering an immersive film-watching experience with screens covering the entire range of the human field of vision - it also provides films in 3D!

Distinguishing itself to both the Harbour skyline and the entertainment facilities in Sydney, the IMAX cinema is certainly distinctive! The building's yellow and black checkerboard clad exterior hints at how unusual the cinematic experience within will be. Given that the screens alone are eight storeys high, the building is impressive and imposing and, arguably, as much of an attraction itself as whatever film it may offer within.
