Panorama taken at the fountain outside the main entrance to the Conference and Exhibition Centre of Sydney on the south-west dock of Darling Harbour, south of Pyrmont bridge.

This fountain has been terraced into the pedestrian walkway so that water gradually runs inwards to the center from the outer edge, creating a gentle trickle effect. This is very calming and clearly popular with passers-by on hot days as a place to rest and cool down!

This panorama was taken at Christmas time and the Christmas tree, which forms a focal point to the dockland festive decorations, is visible to the right of the SCEC entrance. This dockland area has extensive shopping, food and drink, entertainment and recreational amenities, so this fountain is a popular rendezvous point, especially in the heat of the Australian Christmas-time summer sunshine.
