Darling Harbour Quay - FURTHER INFORMATION
Darling Harbour Quay - Sydney visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Darling Harbour Quay' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from New South Wales.
Panorama of a stormy sky over the southern quay in Darling Harbour. The floating pontoons seen here at this section of the quay berth a multitude of craft including ferries for Circular Quay (from where you can take ferries and water taxis on to other districts of Sydney).
In the panorama is a tourist ship in the style of a paddle steamer and one of the ferries heading out towards the Pyrmont bridge, which swings open to allow the passage of ship underneath. A sight worth seeing in itself. The masts of a tall ship can be seen berthed across on the eastern side of the Harbour. The "James Craig" tall ship also berths nearby at the National Maritime Museum, next to the HMAS Vampire, just on the other side of the Pyrmont footbridge.
This panorama was taken from the western dock outside the large hotel complex which accommodates the thousands of visitors daily to the Conference Centre a few minutes walk to the south. This dock is a very busy working dock and is the hub of travel in this area with excellent connections for monorail, road, rail and of course by sea with moorings for ferries and private craft.
