Dolomites - On top of the world - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT

After a days climbing the rewards are always worth it.

Dolomites - On top of the world - FURTHER INFORMATION

Dolomites - On top of the world - Dolomites visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Dolomites - On top of the world' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Dolomites.

Panorama taken from the summit of a mountain peak in the Dolomites within the Parc National de la Vanoise, near to the France / Italy border.

The Dolomites, a region of the Alps mostly located within north-east Italy, offers some of the most challenging high peaks and of course breath-taking views for climbers and skiers. Famous peaks such as Marmolada, Antelao and Tofana di Mezzo are found here.

Climbing is recommended between the months of June and the end of September due to the unpredictable and often volatile weather. Access is easiest via the airports at Treviso or Venice.
