Near Top of Bear Mountain Trail - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Near the top of Bear Mountain is a small boulder which offers a fantastic panoramic view over the surrounding area, showing clearly the red and yellow sandstone cliffs, and some of the other peaks in Sedona. It can get windy up here, but what a fantastic place for lunch. This is about 2 hours hike from the parking lot.

These rocks are part of the Mogollan Rim, an imposing and distinctive formation which overlooks the city and draws the attention of geologists and climbers alike.
