Panorama of Perth Concert Hall taken from the St George's Terrace forecourt plaza. Next door is Government House, the Supreme Court Gardens and the Swan Bells Tower.

Home to the Western Australia Symphony Orchestra, this 1970s purpose built Concert Hall with seating for 1729 patrons is renown as having the finest musical acoustics of any building in Australia. It draws in many performers from the breadth of the arts, including the Australian Chamber Orchestra and contemporary musicians, performers and comedians. However it's original intention was to be a first-class venue for classical music performances. It also hosts graduation ceremonies and international arts festivals.

To the rear, the Concert hall has commanding views over the Swan River from terraced platforms but if entering the building from this direction be prepared for a long climb up the numerous steps. Tickets are widely available through the city and the venue has the usual facilites of a cafe and restrooms, licensed bar and a multi award-winning restaurant making it a popular venue for conferences, conventions and functions.

Travel Directions and Getting There:
Situated between St George's Terrace and Terrace Road. North of Riverside Drive (Highway 5), take the junction with Victoria Avenue. Nearest train station is McIver. Also close to the Barrack Square jetty and ferry terminals.
