View of Perth from Tower of St George's Cathedral - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
There is very little space at the top of the cathedral tower. Thanks are due to the cathedral staff who permitted me access up the tower to get a unique panorama of Perth from the top. It offers a very good view of the surrounding area. Now to go back down that narrow, vertical ladder.

The tower was added in 1902 as a memorial to Queen Victoria. An addition to the original design by Edmund Blackett, whose designs include St Mary's Cathedral in Sydney.
The view from the tower opens looking south towards the 1720/Perth/Barrack_Street_Jetty">Barrack Street Jetty and Esplanade. The little red brick church to the left is St Mary's Catholic Cathedral.
