I was taken by a stand of trees on Herrison Island, so went to take a panorama. It was only as I was shooting the pictures that I noticed the kangaroos resting in the shade. So this has become a panorama of the kangaroos on the island. They did not seem to bothered by my sudden appearance.

Heirisson Island was formed by a 20th Century land reclamation project and has become a nature reserve with kangaroos. A great place to enjoy fine views over the Swan River back towards the city of Perth.

The Causeway road bridge, part of Highway 5, travels over Heirisson Island just before connecting with Riverside Drive on the northern shore.
