The western tip of Heirisson Island offers a good panoramic view over the Swan River and back to the Perth CBD. In this panorama you can see central Perth and the tall hotels and office buildings on the skyline. You have to get right to the shoreline to get this view, it is not visible from the path that goes round Heirisson Island behind the trees. Just before the tree line to the north on the island you can see the tall lights over the Perth cricket stadium on the other side of the river.

Once mud flats reclaimed from the estuary of the Swan River, Heirisson Island is now in part a Nature Reserve where wild Kangaroos can be seen. A quiet space in the heart of a bustling city, the small island underneath the Causeway road bridge is a great spot to rest and look out over the city of Perth.
