Panorama of "The Green", the center of Broadway village in the Cotswolds near to Broadway Tower. Broadway is a picturesque village known as the "Jewel of the Cotswolds". Located at the foot of Fish Hill and within easy reach of several major cities in England, this is a popular visitor attraction for a quaint glimpse into times gone by.

Beautifully preserved honey coloured limestone buildings line The Green, the main thoroughfare. Once the wide street welcomed horse and carriage and was the main staging post for journeys throughout the counties as travelers passed through heading to London. Today it is still lined with grass fringes and chestnuts trees in old-world fashion and just as it was then, very much a thriving hive of activity for residents and tourists with shops, cafes, tea rooms, restaurants and especially art galleries and antiques shops.

The charm of visiting Broadway is to wander around enjoying the facades of the buildings and imagining yourself in a far earlier time and gentler way of life. Abbot's Grange dates back to the 14thC and belonged to the abbots of Evesham Abbey. The Lygon Arms was once a manor house and later became a tavern boasting the honour of patronage by both King Charles the First and Oliver Cromwell - on separate occasions!

Nearby there are areas of geological interest to explore. A heritage club offers vintage railway journeys on older sections of railway on several routes through the surrounding area.

Evesham railway station connects to London Paddington. The A44 road connects to the M40 motorway and several cities including Oxford, Birmingham, Gloucester and Worcester are nearby. The nearest major airport is at Birmingham or London Heathrow.
