The Worcestershire village of Broadway.

Broadway - High Street - FURTHER INFORMATION

Broadway - High Street - Broadway visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Broadway - High Street' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Worcestershire.

Panorama of the High Street in Broadway in the Cotswolds near to the famous Broadway Tower, a short walk from the village.

Charming and tranquil, Broadway village remains much as it was in the 16th century when it was built as a major staging post for horse-drawn carriage journeys. Still a busy working village and still heavily reliant on tourism, it is not hard to imagine how welcoming the tea rooms and antique shops would have been to the weary traveler keen to rest and enjoy peaceful surroundings before hitting the road again. In that sense, not much has changed!

In this panorama, much of the typical architecture can be seen. The hidden courtyards, the mottled window glass, the picture-box Victorian street lights and that honey-coloured Cotswolds Limestone which clads many buildings and glows warmly in evening sunlight.

There are numerous accommodations available in old-world buildings, all with tales to tell of famous visitors and patrons throughout history. Of course, all the usual facilities you'd expect for a modern village perhaps not in too much of a hurry to be touched by the 21st Century.
