This panorama was taken from White Domes, one of the attractions within Valley of Fire State Par. Standing near the top of one of the sandstone formations you get a good panoramic view over the surrounding area. In the image you can see a couple of sandstone arches. The colours of the sandstones here are amazing, ranging from fiery-red to white with shades of purple as well. All set against a blue sky. For a sense of scale, there is a small group of people on the trail below.

These dramatic rock formations are an 11 mile round trip from the Visitors Center in Valley of Fire State Park. At White Domes there is a trail, parking and picnic area. On the way to road passes Mouse's Tank, Rainbow Vista, Fire Canyon and Silica Dome, which all have parking nearby.

White Domes are at the end of a 5 mile drive north of the Visitors Center in Valley of Fire State Park.
