Camp de Mar

Camp de Mar beach is often regarded as one of the best beaches of Mallorca. Lying close to Port Adraxt on the southwest of the island, Camp de Mar is well known for the sandy beaches, clear waters and luxury hotels. The resort area is well developed containing numerous holiday resorts, beach hotels and holiday apartments. An added attraction is the 'Golf de Andratx' golf course, one of the best on the island.

Camp de Mar is within walking distance of Andraxt Marina, which is unusual in that it is possible to walk among the boats and yachts. The area contains several 4-star and 5-star hotels like the Grupotel Playa Camp de Mar, Camp de Mar Hotel, Dorint Royal Golf and Spa Hotel and Hotel Lido Palace.

Andraxt itself is an old Mallorcan port town with an active fishing fleet, which leaves port in the morning and returns later in the day. Fresh fish can be brought alongside the quayside and some of the best fish restaurants in Mallorca are found around Camp de Mar.

Camp de Mar is about 27km west of Palma on the Ma-1.
