Avenue of Stars - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Taken from the Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong, this panorama shows the view over Hong Hong Harbour to Hong Kong Island. It is a major tourist attraction on the waterfront, similar to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and celebrates successes in the Hong Kong film industry. The picture was taken late in the afternoon, with the sun setting behind Hong Kong Island.

The Avenue of Stars is based on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It honours the Hong Kong film industry. It was developed in part with support of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the Tourism Commission and the Hong Kong Film Awards Association. It has become a major tourist attraction. On opening the Avenue of Stars featured 73 inductees. There are several statues as well, notably a very popular statue of Bruce Lee.
There are several other tourist attractions along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, including the Museum of Art, Space Museum, Cultural Centre and the Clock Tower around the World Center. The promenade that links all these together also offers panoramic views over the harbour and is a popular place to watch the Symphony of Lights at night.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
The Avenue of Stars is on the promenade along the waterfront around the New World Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui East on the waterfront of Kowloon.
