Hong Kong Harbour at Night - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
Panorama taken from the walkway overlooking Hong Kong Island from the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront in Kowloon. Over the water are the illuminated buildings of the central business district on Hong Kong Island. Behind where the picture was taken is the Hong Kong Cultural Center, lit white. The last rays of the sun are fading to the west, seen as a glow on the darkening sky on the horizon. The sun goes down very quickly here, giving a narrow window in which to take dusk photographs. The harbour ferries become blurred by the long exposure used.
Hong Kong Harbour at Night - FURTHER INFORMATION
Hong Kong Harbour at Night - Hong Kong visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Hong Kong Harbour at Night' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Hong Kong.
This panorama shows the view over Victoria Harbour at dusk, just as the sun is setting over Hong Kong and the lights of this most famous skyline have come on. The panorama, taken from the viewing palatform in front of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, shows why this is one of the most popular places to watch the famous Symphony of Lights performance. It is a short 2 minute walk from the Star Ferry Terminal.
Hong Kong Island and the sky scrapers around Central lie to the south, and behind them is Victoria Peak. To the north is the white-lit Hong Kong Cultural Centre and the famous Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower.
