It was the only place possible to get in the Stratosphere's massive tower, easily the tallest building in Las Vegas. The Stratosphere dominates the skyline of the Strip for miles around, especially at night.

The Stratosphere hotel and casino is at the northernmost end of The Strip (Las Vegas Boulevard South) in Las Vegas. It is actually the only casino of the Strip to actually stand in the City of Las Vegas. All the other casinos further south stand on unincorporated land. The Stratosphere is owned by American Casino & Entertainment Properties. Among some of the highlights the Stratosphere has to offer are a number of rides at the very top of the tower, including 'Insanity the Ride', and the Top of the World restaurant high above the rest of Las Vegas, offering spectacular panoramic views of the city, especially at night. The Stratosphere also has a public viewing platform at the top, one of the paid tourist attractions within the casino.

The Stratosphere hotel is only 1 mile from the downtown Las Vegas area which includes the Fremont Street Experience. Further down on the Strip is the Sahara Hotel and Casino.
