Campos is a trading town on the South of the island. It has retained much of its original buildings and small stone structure and is nice to walk around in search of a cafe or restaurant.

This impressive church with vaulted archways dates from the 13th century. Campos is in striking distance of the fine beaches to the South, but because it remains off the beaten track has not been modernised in the same way as other towns of comparative size on the island.
