Chautauqua is very close to the town of Halls Gap in the Grampians, Australia. It is accessed as a walk from Mt Victory Road. As seen in this panorama, from the top there is a good panoramic view over the area, with Halls Gap lying to the east.

Halls Gap is where most of the accommodation and hotels within easy access of Grampians National Park is to be found. A number of guided tours of the Grampians depart from here, mostly on foot but some also on camel! Nearby to the south is Halls Gap Zoo and Winery on the road to Pomonal and Ararat.

From Melbourne (about 260km) take the M8 and then the A8 roads to Ararat and then the C222 Ararat Pomonal Road to the Grampians National Park. Other large towns near to the park are Hamilton and Horsham.
