Mount Matheson lies just to the west of Matheson Lake and close to Pedder Bay in Metchosin, Vancouver Island.
This is a small park, with a path in the woods round the lake. Part of the Sooke Basin is visible to the north west.

From East Sooke Road turn onto Gillespie Road, and then right onto Mount Matheson Road. Follow this and turn right into Ambience Place. Park at the end and walk.
