Long Beach - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
This panorama shows Long Beach in the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. The panorama was taken at low tide, showing the striations and patterns in the sand. On the day this panoramic picture was taken, the cloud formations almost mirror the patterns in the sand.
Long Beach - FURTHER INFORMATION
Long Beach - Pacific Rim visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Long Beach' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Vancouver Island.
Long Beach is the longest beach in the Pacific Rim National Reserve, and is often presented as the crown jewel of the beaches within the park. Westward facing, Long Beach is very popular with surfers, especially during the summer months. Long Beach has life guards on duty during the July to August peak holiday season, but not at other times of the year. As with all the beaches in the region, Long Beach is backed by temperate rain forest and lined with drift wood trees.
At low tide it is possible to walk from Long Beach to Greenpoint and Combers Beach.
