The Wickaninnish Interpretive Center is on Wickaninnish Beach in the Pacific Rim National Park on the western coast of Vancouver Island. The Interpretive Center acts as a museum, exhibition and information center for the park itself. There are regular films exploring various aspects of the park, the wildlife and the region. Among the exhibits are First Nations canoes, tools and various works of art.
The Wickaninnish Interpretive Center also has a small gift shop and a restaurant facing the beach front with panoramic views over the ocean. From here it is a short walk to the beach itself. A 1km walk heads south from the center to South Beach, and the longer Nuu-chah-nulth Trail leads through the temperate rain forest to Florencia Bay.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Road: Wickaninnish Interpretive Center is on Wickaninnish Beach, in the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, about 30km from Tofino and 15km from Ucluelet.
