The Seven Sisters in Valley of Fire State Park are a collection of red sandstone pillars standing on the valley plain. The panorama shows the Seven Sisters late in the afternoon, almost silhouetted by the sun. There is a car park right at the base of the Seven Sisters, with a path leading round them, but from the other side the true nature of the structures is somewhat obscured by the red sandstone ridge behind. While some of the colour of the sandstone is lost in this panoramic image, the nature of the Seven Sisters stands out against the surrounding valley.

The Seven Sisters is one of the sights of the Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada noted on the park guide and map. These sandstone pillars stand just to the east of the Visitor Center on the Valley of Fire highway. Please refer to that panorama for a list of all the locations featured from this fantastic park.

The formation of these sandstone pillars is different to the sea erosion that created the Twelve Apostles, a series of sea stacks on the Great Ocean Road in Australia.

Take the I-15 north from Las Vegas for about 30 miles and then take exit 75 for NV-169 E toward Valley of Fire/Lake Mead.
