This panorama was taken near to the western entrance to the Valley of Fire State Park. Even from here the park looks dramatic, but this view is an understatement to the fantastic geology and geology exposed with the park. Twisted sandstone formations of all sorts of colours, canyons to explore and massive cliffs to scale.

The western entrance to the Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada is the the way that most visitors will enter the park. The descent to the entrance is misleading and hides all the wonders the park has to offer. At the entrance, upon paying the entrance fee, visitors are given a comprehensive map outlining the main sights and attractions. More information about these and the park itself is available at the Visitor Center.
The nearest attractions to the western entrance are Arch Rock (a sandstone arch), Atlatl Rock famous for the petroglyphs, and the Beehives.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Take the I-15 north from Las Vegas for about 30 miles and then take exit 75 for NV-169 E toward Valley of Fire/Lake Mead.
