Central Pier is part of the terminal serving Star Ferry services across Victoria Harbour to destinations on outlying islands in Hong Kong. The main Star Ferry route from Central to Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon (often called 'the Star Ferry' leave from the Star Ferry Terminal nearby.
