Central Pier Public Pier at Night - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
A nighttime panorama taken from the public pier next to Central Pier in Hong Kong. This is a good place to get a view of Hong Kong's business district skyline. The usual suspects like the striking Bank Of China building stand out against the night sky. The buildings on the Kowloon side of Hong Kong Harbour are also visible. Nighttime is often the best time to view the Hong Kong skyline as the smog that hangs over the city is not visible. The public pier is also the place for young couples to hang out and relax.

Central Pier is the main terminal for the Star Ferries and water taxis which run between Honk Kong and Kowloon to the Hung Hom Pier.
By day, a very busy transport hub where more than 70,000 passengers arrive daily to cross Victoria harbour. By night, an excellent vantage point to take in the view of the skyscraper towers dominate the horizon and adorn the foot of Victoria Peak mountain.
A convenient central meeting point, it also is a popular rendezvous - with world class romantic views thrown in for good measure!
