Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
A panorama of the Botanical Gardens, part of the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, showing the fountain in one of the plazas, surrounded by the tall buildings of Hong Kong. At the time this panorama was taken, the flowers were in full bloom, providing a stunning backdrop of red and yellow below a blue sky.

Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens - Hong Kong visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from Hong Kong.
Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens are located on the Victoria Peak mountainside. Once the private garden of the first Governor, now an excellent botanic garden with zoological exhibits. Our panorama was taken in the Fountain Terrace Garden, one of several specialist horticultural sections. These include a Bauhinia Garden growing indigenous orchid trees, a Magnolia Garden, an Azalea Garden, Bamboo Garden and a Camellia Garden.
The zoo also houses Jaguars in a special enclosure. Peacock Pheasants and Flamingos are found in the Aviary. Among the many mammals and reptiles are such creatures as the Ring Tailed Lemur, the Malaysian Giant Turtle, Chinese Alligators, Burmese Pythons and the Golden Lion Tamarin.
Being a small park, the HKZBG has crafted and cultivated the gardens over the decades into a beautiful oasis of foliage and flowers and they have made the most of every square inch with surprises around every corner. There are good amenities for visitors including a refreshments kiosk, a children's playground, a rain shelter and an education center. Admission times vary but admission is currently free.
