A panorama showing the glass cube entrance to the Apple store on Fifth Avenue and East 59th Street in New York. It was just after dusk and the skies were turning dark. The Apple store is not so obvious during the day, but at night a large illuminated Apple logo seems suspended in the air, mounted against the glass. To the right of the store is an amazing toy store with giant stuffed dinosaur toys. Panorama taken March 2008.

The glass Apple computer store on 5th Avenue is a bit of a tourist attraction, with thousands visiting each day to explore the latest marvels that Apple has to offer, be it now lightweight laptops, the latest i-pod, i-phone of other gimmicks, computers and gadgets. This is the store for all things Apple in The Big Apple. Visitors enter the shop through a glass cube and then descend via a circular platform elevator. Beneath ground, shoppers find themselves in Apple's Aladdin Cave, with 20,000 square feet of underground retail space packed to the rim.
Whether or not it is intentional, the entrance to the Apple store is very similar to the entrance to the Louvre in Paris, except that there visitors enter through the famous glass pyramid instead of a glass cube. According to Apple, this cube was designed to let in light and ambiance during the day.
The Apple Store near the southeast corner of Central Park, just up the road from Rockefeller Building and the Museum of Modern Arth (MoMA) on Fifth Avenue.
