Cala Mesquida is a very deep beach in Mallorca on the northwest of the island. It has sand dunes extending about 1 km from the beach. Many of these are shut off to allow them to grow naturally. Along one side of the Cala is a mafiosa style single development. The cala is sometimes incorrectly called 'Cala Mosquida'.
The far side of Cala Mesquida is a nudist beach. The sand is fantastic, and the bay has rocks at both ends which provides good snorkeling. All in all, definitely on of the top beaches on Mallorca, with the easy parking and accessibility for families.
Cala Mesquida is quite well developed with numerous 3- and 4-star hotels, popular among which are the Viva Cala Mesquida Suites Hotel, Viva Cala Mesquida Resort Hotel. Nearby attractions include Capdepera Castle, and the Coves d'Arta (Caves of Arta) and Torre de Canyamel (Tower of Canyamel) near to Cala Canyamel.
