Can Picafort (C'an Picafort) is a small town on the northern coast of Mallorca close to Alcudia. The town is built up with numerous hotels, beach resorts and holiday apartments, catering mostly for the German, British, Dutch and Scandinavian tourist industry. The town has little cultural value but is close to the sandy beaches that stretch along the coast here past Playa De Muro to Alcudia Beach. The beach is popular for wind surfing and boat trips depart for tours around the bay and around to Cap de Formentor. The central section of the beach is a nudist beach.

Can Picafort makes a good base to explore the northern end of Mallorca, within easy driving distance of various towns like St. Margalida de la Salud, Sineu and Arta. Also nearby is the largest karting track on the island and the Rancho Grande which offers horse riding and does very good barbecues in the evening. There are 6 golf courses within 30km of Can Picafort.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
