Bryant Park - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
This panorama shows Bryant Park in Manhattan. The day was overcast, so much of the sky in this image looks white. The park is surrounded by the tall buildings of Manhattan. There are seating areas at either end of the park, but walking on the grass was not permitted at the time I was there. This picture also shows the fountain on the eastern end. Virtual tour taken in spring 2008.

Bryant Park is a very popular park in Midtown region of Manhattan, New York. It is the only large scale park in Midtown, and in high demand as a venue for concerts and other events. Bryant Park has seasonal plantings, neo-classical sculptures and structures and is bordered by gravel promenades. There are several dining spots in Bryant Park, including Bryant Park Grill, Bryant Park Café
Bryant Park is bounded by Fifth Avenue, Sixth Avenue, 40th Street and 42nd Street in Midtown Manhattan, very close to Time Square and 2 blocks west of Grand Central. It is almost mid way between the Empire State Building and the Rockefeller Building. On the west end stand the New York Public Library. The park has been noted by some to have a Parisian feel, and has been compared to Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris, though being surrounded by skyscrapers rather than classical buildings this is a little limited.
