Living Desert - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
The Living Desert Sculpture Symposium comprises 12 Sandstone artworks which highlight the skyline, all with a story to tell. Located on a majestic hilltop within the centre of the Living Desert Reserve, the Sculptures were completed in 1993 by artists from around the world. The Sculpture Symposium is located 13 kilometers north of the CBD of Broken Hill.

Sunset over the Australian Outback desert at Broken Hill, a magical panorama capturing the rugged and arid desert and the vibrant atmosphere that the warm colours of sunset brings to this great wilderness.
The 1993 Living Desert exhibition captured here in silhouette against the setting sun is a collection of sculptures by indigenous and international artists which reflect the essences of the desert to the native Australian people. Set in a fenced in reserve, access is by arrangement via the Visitor and Information Center.

11 km from the Broken Hill town center. Follow Kaolin Street into Nine Mile Road and follow the signs for Living Desert.
