Mui Wo is a small town on the eastern edge of Lantau Island in Hong Kong. It is close to Pui O, which also has a good beach. Once important for silver mining, the town is now a tourist attraction for the remains of the mining industry, fishing and the surrounding countryside. Mui Wo is set at the end of the bay surrounded by hills fed by the Silver River.
Local attractions at Mui Wo include Silver Mine Cave, Silver Mine waterfall, a temple dedicated to Man Mo from the 16C and the beaches and mountains. There are also a couple of markets and some nearby fishing villages.
