Magnolia Trees in Bloom in Central Park - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
When taking the panorama of Cleopatra's Needle, I spotted this woman sitting in the branches of the magnolia trees nearby. This picture is taken standing among the magnolias as if under a tent made by pink flowers. Virtual tour taken in spring of 2008.
Magnolia Trees in Bloom in Central Park - FURTHER INFORMATION
Magnolia Trees in Bloom in Central Park - New York visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Magnolia Trees in Bloom in Central Park' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from New York.
Springtime in Central Park is one of the prettiest of the year. The cherry blossom trees and magnolia trees come into flower bringing some of the first colour to the park and New York in the spring before the trees leaf. This small grove of magnolia trees stands next to Cleopatra's Needle (The Obelisk) on the east side of Central Park, just behind the Metropolitan Museum of Art and close to Turtle Pond and Belvedere Castle.
