The Riesenrad ferris wheel stands at the northern end of the Prater in Vienna. The Prater park is hugely popular with both visitors and locals alike. At the northern end is an amusement park, the Wurstelprater and which lines the Prater Hauptallee. the Hauptallee is the main boulevard through the Parter. It leads south to open fields where there is the Prater Ranch, a children's play area, and then the Prater Woods.
