Yes, I had taken a wrong turn somewhere close to Laguna. Looking for a trig point to take a panorama over this part of the Hunter Valley, there were few, if any, signs. The dirt track continued to wind it's way up the hills until it got to the point where I was convinced that the poor hire care was really going to protest. In the end I gave up, only to find that I had been probably about 500m from my target. Still, this panorama, taken from a large rock in the valley, shows that the scenery on the way made up for it.

This panorama was taken from Knights Road, which heads off from Yango Creek Road into the hills of the Yango State Forrest and Finchley Track. Yango Creek and Yango State Forrest are close to Wollombi and Laguna in the Hunter Region of New South Wales in Australia. This valley has green, rolling hills, reminiscent of similar glens in Scotland.

Laguna is about 120km north of Sydney. Between Laguna and Yallambie take the Yango Creek Road from the Great North Drive. Knights Road leads west from this.
