The marina at Nelson Bay is part of the d'Albora Marinas group, which is the largest group of marinas in Australia. Next to the marina, but still protected by the harbour walls, is a small beach, from which this image was taken. The picture shows some of the boats and yachts moored at the marina. The marina is the departure point for fishing trips, whale watching and most other chartered boating on the Tomaree Peninsula.
Nelson Bay is the most popular destination on the Tomaree Peninsula for tourists and holiday makers. The main tourist information center for the peninsula and Port Stephens is found just behind the marina at Nelson Bay.
