One Mile Beach is on the southern side of the Tomaree peninsula in Port Stephens. It is a very popular holiday destination, with the One Mile Beach Holiday Park behind the massive sand dunes that line the beach. It is about 7km from Nelson Bay, and a short distance from Port Harbour and Anna Bay towns. The beach is also next to the Tomaree National Park and separated from Samurai Beach by a headland. This offers visitors plenty of things to do and places to explore.
The One Mile Beach Holiday Park, situated at the southern end of the beach offers both caravans and camp sites. There are also luxury, beach-front holiday apartments and bays for motor homes. The park gets very busy in the summer months, when people flock from Newcastle and Sydney to relax on the beaches and explore Port Stephens. It is about an hour from the Hunter Valley, offering visitors easy access to the vineyards and wine tasting in the region.
