Google Map Sigmund Freud-ParkSigmund Freud-ParkSigmund Freud-Park in Vienna is the green triangle just in front of the Votivkirche in Vienna's 9th district. Universitätsstrasse and Währingerstrasse run along the other 2 edges. Before 1961 the name also applied to the open spaces around Votivkirche, but at that time they split into thee Votivpark which surrounds the church and the Sigmund Freud-Park in front of it.When this panoramic image was taken the Votivkirche was undergoing restoration work and the front was obscured by scaffolding. On the 25 March 1997 a tree circle was planted in the park to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the European Union. In May 2004 a granite table and ten granite seats were added to the interior of the tree circle to mark the addition of 10 further countries to the EU. There is also a statue in the park by Rudolf Moratti using 3 different kinds of marble.
