Fern Gully Bridge - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT
This panorama was taken from the bridge at the western end of the Lake in Roma Street Parkland. The bridge also serves as a kind of tree top walk as it rises above the trees growing in the gully below. The picture was taken on a overcast summer day near Christmas time. It was trying to rain.

Fern Gull Bridge crosses a deep gully at the eastern end of the Lake in Roma Street Parkland. At one end are Fern Gully and the Forest, and on the other side paths lead to Spectacle Gardens which are full of flowers. A relatively new garden to Brisbane, the Roma Street Parkland contains the largest sub-tropical garden in an urban setting in the world, and is therefore set to become a popular tourist attraction.
