Taylor's Beach Jetty - Port Stephens visitor guide showing a virtual tour of 'Taylor's Beach Jetty' linked to an interactive map with local and travel information. 360° panoramas from New South Wales.
Taylor's Beach is on the north coast of the Tomaree Peninsula in Port Stephens, New South Wales. The beach is not very popular with tourists given that it is quite a distance from Nelson Bay and the beaches around there. There are also no facilities at Taylor's Beach. This is actually to the advantage of those people who make the effort to get here. It is west facing and well protected.
This is a long sandy beach set into a nature reserve. It is possible to walk among unspoilt mangrove trees. The beach has a slipway, toilets and picnic areas. There is some holiday accomodation nearby, suitable for those who wish to explore the surrounding beaches or the vineyards of the Hunter Valley without being inundated by other tourists. Salamander Bay and Soldiers Point are nearby.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Port Stephens is about 200km north of Sydney. Take the 1 Pacific Highway to just north of Newcastle and then the 122 onto Tomaree Peninsula following signs for Nelson Bay, taking a junction north near Anna Bay for Taylor's Beach and Salamander Bay.
