Wanda Beach lies between Soldiers Point and Salamander Bay on the Tomaree Peninsula in Port Stephens, New South Wales. Wanda beach is a long, narrow, sandy beach with a boat ramp near the northern end. In the middle are toilets and picnic areas. The beach is lined with accomodation, some of which may be hired for holiday stays. To the south is Salamander Bay.
Soldiers Point Road runs up the back of Wanda Beach, providing easy access to the other beaches of Port Stephens near Nelson Bay, and to the wine tasting and vineyards of the Hunter Valley.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Port Stephens is about 200km north of Sydney. Take the 1 Pacific Highway to just north of Newcastle and then the 122 onto Tomaree Peninsula following signs for Nelson Bay, taking a junction north before Anna Bay.
