When Maria Theresia had the gardens at Schönbrunn developed to form the Schlosspark, she had a labyrinth planted. Over time this got abandoned, overgrown and then destroyed. Recently a new Labyrinth has been planted following the historical plans where possible.
The area contains several games which will suit both the young and adults. In this panoramic image you can see people using the sea-saw pump fountain, jumping on sprung wooden bouncing platforms and dancing on tuned metal squares that chime like a massive xylophone. The user must navigate the mazes to find each activity. After this take the challange of entering the Maze and finding the raised platform at the center.
Other activities include ringing the bell at the top of the "chiming climbing pole" pole, a huge kaleidoscope, and mathematical games. Entrance is ticketed.
