Balaena Bay is one of numerous small bays that line to coast between Point Jerningham and Evans Bay in Roseneath district of Wellington. It lies between Little Karaka Bay and Weka Bay. On the northern edge is a car park, and there are toilet facilities here. The hills behind contain some luxury accommodation units, such as the Balaena by the Bay development, with panoramic views over the larger Evans Bay.
