Mount Saibigan (or "Saibi") is found in the Urkiola (Urquiola) Mountain Range in Basque Country, north of Spain. Forested in natural Birch trees and new plantations of Pine, Cypress and Eucalyptus, this natural park area extends to 5700 hectares and includes mountainous ranges of limestone peaks and escarpments, dramatic cliffs and panoramic views over the Alava countryside and grasslands beneath.

Easily accessible from several major roads, the park is popular with climbers and walkers. Wildlife enthusiasts can spot vultures and birds of prey high above the hills. You can even hunt for fossilized seashells which are exposed as the limestone gentle erodes through natural processes. Limestone bedrock produces interesting caves and potholes which can be explored with caution.

Saibigan is a foothill of the Massif Eskuagatx, which peaks at around 1098 meters. It is a gentle climb up grassy slopes to the top which is marked by a large stone Cross which commemorates an event in the Spanish Civil War of 1936-37.
