Commonly referred to as the "Lower Entrance', this entrance to the Botanic Gardens in Wellington is on Tinakori Road. Inside the gardens near this entrance are the Dwarf Conifers, Sound Shell Lawn and the Duck Pond. This entrance is also close to the Lady Norwood Rose Garden.

By cable car from Cable Car Lane, through the historic Bolton Street Memorial Park or via the lower entrance on Glenmore Street.
