The Civic Square in Wellington separates the business district in the north from the entertainment district to the south. There are several important buildings around the square, including the Town Hall and the City Gallery Wellington, a library and the Michael Fowler Building.

Civic Square also forms a link between Victoria Street and the harbour front via the City to Sea Bridge, making Civic Square a short and pleasant walk from Frank Kitts Park and the Te Papa Museum.
